Connect your Textio account to Lavalier to import job posts from your Textio Recruiting Library, push Lavalier-generated job posts back to Textio, and jump between the two tools as you work.
Before You Start
- A Textio account
- A Lavalier account (one will be created for you automatically the first time you sign in with Textio)
- Your organization's Textio must have the Lavalier integration enabled (otherwise Textio won't appear in Settings → Integrations)
How to Connect Textio
Go to Settings → Integrations
Find Textio in the list of integrations and click Connect Textio
Sign in to Textio and authorize Lavalier when prompted
You'll return to Lavalier and see Connected next to Textio. You can disconnect anytime from the same screen.
Importing a Role from Your Textio Library
Once Textio is connected, you can create a new Lavalier role directly from a job post in your Textio Recruiting Library.
From the Roles page, click New Role → Import Job Post
Click Import from Textio
Use the Search field or filters to find the job post you want
Click a job post to preview it, then click Use this job post text
Lavalier creates a new role using the imported job post and links it back to the Textio document, so you can update either side later.
Creating a Job Post in Textio
If you generated a job post in Lavalier, you can push it to Textio with one click.
Open the role and click the Actions menu (three dots) in the top right
Click Create Job Post in Textio
Lavalier creates a new Textio document with your job post content and links it to the role.
Once linked, the same Actions menu shows Open Job Post in Textio—use it anytime to jump back to the Textio document and keep editing.
Creating a Role Directly from Textio
You can also start in Textio and send a job post to Lavalier in one step. There are two entry points:
From the Textio web app:
Open the job post you want to interview for in Textio
Click Get ready to interview
From the Textio ATS Chrome extension:
Open a job post in any ATS where the Textio Chrome extension is active
Click Export to Lavalier in the extension
In either case, Textio sends the job post to Lavalier and opens the new role, ready for you to set up interviews. If you don't have a Lavalier account yet, you'll see a Welcome! page first — click Create My Free Account to set one up using your Textio credentials, then continue to your new role.
What's next?
Once Textio is connected, you can:
- Create a Role in Lavalier — Start a new role using your Textio job post
- Schedule Interviews — Set up interviews for the role you just created
Troubleshooting
I don't see "Import from Textio" when creating a role
Solution: Make sure you've connected your Textio account from Settings → Integrations first. The option only appears once Textio is connected to your account.
I don't see Textio on Settings → Integrations
Solution: Textio only appears in the integrations list if your organization's Textio account has the Lavalier integration enabled. Contact your Textio admin or Textio support to confirm.
Connecting Textio shows an email mismatch error
Solution: Your Textio account email must match your Lavalier account email. Sign in to Textio using the account whose email matches your Lavalier email, then try connecting again.
"Your Textio connection has expired. Please reconnect to continue."
Solution: Your Textio session has timed out. Click Go to Settings, then click Connect Textio to sign back in. Once reconnected, you can pick up right where you left off.
